At nearly 4,000 square feet, Tails of Manhattan has plenty of space to suit the needs of every dog- no matter their size. As one of the largest doggy daycares in all of Manhattan, our playrooms were designed so your dog has ample room to run around, play with friends, or curl up and nap comfortably. Dogs are separated into our playrooms by size, weight, and temperament.

Our Little Dog and Big Dog playrooms are lined with low VOC Epoxy flooring. Epoxy flooring is antimicrobial, non-absorbent, and non-slip, for maximum safety and sanitation. 

Little Dog Playroom

The Dog Park 

The Little Dog Playroom features a custom-made, turf dog park. We used Smart Turf, an antimicrobial, realistic grass substitute so your dog can relieve themself in comfort and cleanliness. It’s also fitted with a drainage system and washing station. Now your pup can get the full park experience – minus the dirt.

The Cubbies

Pups need more than just space- they need security. That’s where the Cubbies come in. Dogs often like to find a comfortable, safe territory to curl up in when it’s time for a break from all the fun and socialization. The Cubbies offer the option of a private, partially enclosed spot- perfect for a nap that won’t be disturbed by play on the main floor. Once fully recharged, your dog can return to the action on their own terms. No crates, no kennels. Your dog maintains their agency, and their energy. 

Big Dog Playroom

The Big Dog Playroom is, well, big. We wanted to make sure even the largest dogs have a place to go where they can run to their heart’s content. In a city where square footage can be hard to come by, ToM thought we’d set some aside for the pups of Manhattan. We also provide air beds and donut beds for the dogs to rest on, and bring out House Toys when appropriate and attendance permitting.

Paw-Da-Terre Private Suites

If general boarding isn’t for you, our Paw-Da-Terre suites may be just what you’re looking for. Tails of Manhattan’s unique Paw-Da-Terre suites give your pup an extra luxurious stay in their own private room, with customizable options so that you can tailor your dog’s stay to their needs.

ToM Puppy Cameras

ToM’s Puppy Cameras provide extra reassurance and added security for parents and staff alike. Don’t just take our word for the care we provide- take a look and see for yourself!

ToM Puppy Cameras are exclusively accessible to registered pawrents through the PetExec client portal and are operational during business hours. Live feed is only available to clients with dogs actively signed in.

HVAC and Air Purification 

We installed a brand-new HVAC system and state-of-the-art air purifiers. No matter the time of year, our facilities have fresh, clean air circulating at all times and a tempered environment, so your pup is never too hot or too cold. Our AirDoctors offer additional peace of mind by filtering out potential contaminants. Designed to capture smoke, bacteria, viruses, pet dander, pollen, and mold, our use of AirDoctors is yet another unique feature that helps make Tails of Manhattan the safest option for doggy daycare in the city. 

ToM Promise and Protocols 

ToM is committed to using only cleaning products that are specially formulated and safe for dogs, including veterinarian-grade kennel solutions with broad-spectrum bactericidal and virucidal abilities. Our kennel solutions are more effective than bleach, non-toxic, and quickly kill common pathogens like Kennel Cough, Parvovirus, Ringworm, and more. Ask us about the products we use! Safety Protocols 

ToM Team members are certified in basic canine first aid, Heimlich Maneuver, and CPR. Additionally, we have several safety protocols in case of emergency, including a firewall, fire blankets and extinguishers, and procedures in the event of minor injury, major injury, extreme weather advisories, and more.
