Daycare
ToM has two spacious playrooms that provide your pup ample opportunity to run around and socialize with their friends. Dogs are separated into our playrooms by size, weight, and temperament. While size and weight are the primary factors in determining which playroom a dog belongs in, ultimately temperament also plays a key role. It’s important to us that all of the dogs within our care feel confident and comfortable in the playroom that they are in. Separating by size and temperament maximizes the potential for a fun stay, and encourages meaningful friendships amongst the dogs.
Boarding
Tails of Manhattan is a kennel and crate-free facility. In General Boarding, all pups sleep together in our downstairs space. A Canine Companion is present with the dogs at all times. Dogs in General Boarding are kept together or separated by size, depending on parent permission and comfort level. If a parent does not permit mixed-sizes, dogs are separated via room dividers, gates, and/or rooms. ToM provides air beds, donut beds, plush rectangular beds, and fuzzy blankets for the dogs to sleep and snuggle on. A twin bed is supplied for the overnight Canine Companion, which the pups are also welcome to sleep on- and usually do!
If General Boarding isn’t for you, our Paw-Da-Terre suites might be just the thing you’re looking for! Tails of Manhattan’s unique Paw-Da-Terre suites give your pup an extra luxurious stay in their own private room, with customizable options so that you can tailor your dog’s stay to their needs.

Dog Grooming
Currently, Tails of Manhattan offers limited grooming services on Fridays for pups within our care. At this time, our services include: baths, brush-outs, ear care, nail care, and paw pad care. We use Hydra Professional Line luxury grooming products: high-end, high-performance, and specially formulated using only the finest, quality salon ingredients, as well as select other products. ToM also has additional products upon request for dogs with sensitive skin.
Vaccination records for Bordetella, Distemper (DA2PP), and Rabies are required, including a copy of your dog’s rabies certificate signed and dated by the attending veterinarian. Dogs solely booking for grooming do not need to pass a temperament trial.
